It's going to be rainy here for the next few days. I also slept terribly because of the new hotel bed. My dad also snores, so it can be a little bit of a pain. It is cloudy outside every day that we wake up. It lasts until around 9 or so when the sun has been out for a while. Breakfast is good, Old Faithful was nice, but big crowd everywhere. For my breakfast I end up doing like over 1000 calories just cause I can. It was like a hotel waffle, 2 eggs, 2 sausage patties, 2 pieces of toast, and 2 packets of Quaker Oats brown sugar oatmeal every morning. I would have to run around between people even though it was like 6 am. Small setup and always full though. All of the places around the park are crowded, but mornings aren't that bad. Anyways after Old Faithful it started raining like the weather apps predicted and we went back into town to get some lunch or our second meal of the day. We had a waitress who was very nice and she would talk with us about how hard it is to live in some of these towns. She has to drive 1h 30m just to get to a good grocery store and 1h to get to a doctor for her baby. She did say that she was also going to move on up to Austin in like a couple of weeks because of her husband getting a job there. After that we went back to Yellowstone and it was still raining, but we did a hike anyway. Lightning is cool and clear over the mountains. After that, we did nothing for a bit, and we just went to another place because my sister was still hungry. We went to Yellowstone Beer Co., and they had really really good chili and a cold IPA, which is something that is rare for me, but I also really really like. They also had some pool tables that were fun. Pikmin Bloom has also been fun with postcards. 20000 steps. Post note here: I wish I remembered all the food and places I went to, but most of the places in the areas I went to are like 4.5 stars and above, so if you were going to the area that’s what my family did. Local favs are always good and I also had some food I don't remember what day I had it on, but it was bussin. One of these local favs was a pizza from Wild West Pizzeria that had beans, pulled pork, and some other good stuff on it. It is surprisingly really good and I would recommend it, but Pete's Rocky Mountain pizza has one of the best crusts and sauces I have ever had.
