Today was a day we had to get ready fast because we were going to go through a valley that was very popular and was a 2-hour drive from our entrance to the park. The place is popular because of the fact that it has so many bison and other animals. We also had a hard 1-hour hike afterwards that was all elevation, but it was still fun. Also saw the “Grand Canyon" of Yellowstone was cool and had a good hike. Driving back to the hotel was a pain in the ass and I thank god my dad was driving. The traffic is terrible, and because it is raining we have a lot of scaredy-pants who have never driven through rain before. I've been through hurricanes, man. Driving to the hotel took like 2x longer than expected and was like 4 hours. When I was driving back home from college I had a very crazy rain experience. It was a different route first off because I didn't want to deal with the bullshit that was driving through major Texas cities, but people were insane near my home anyways. While I was on that crazy road it was actually very nice and not at all as crazy as it was on the normal route, but I hit rain all of a sudden. It was initially a weird mist rain where it was just a bunch of mist and I saw a double rainbow that was going right into the road, but after like a min of going down I entered a sudden violent downpour. Of course, people where I am from are also stupid while driving, even while it is raining really bad, so someone absolutely had a bad accident and flipped their car. Everyone was in a big pile-up of traffic and people started leaving along the side grass/gravel road to get to the side residential roads. I am thankful that I was also a truck owner though because I did the same lol. That's how I found the person flipped by the side road. Drive safe folks. Back to Yellowstone that night I also had a hamburger that was overpriced. My randoms were still bad, and I am ready to go home honestly. Total hiking steps were like 121000 or so.
