Didn't actually post anything in a while. I was being a total chud and not doing anything but rotting. I drove back to college today and I had an interesting thought. I know that some animals evolved from the sea to go onto land for food, but it's weird thinking about how some animals evolved to the skies as well. I mean I would imagine some animals might just want to stay on land, but don't want to go back to the ocean or something so they develop flying for island hopping or something. I would think that such an animal like a modern bird would be small because of weight making the trip easier, but the first bird dinosaurs turn my idea on its head. Why would birds be that big and heavy? I'm sure they had the muscle, wingspan, and hollow bones like other birds, but what's the point of island hopping on Pangaea? Easy travel along trees? Just weird thoughts. Classes start on Monday and I can't wait to see how boned I am :)
